March 2007 – August 2008
Berglund Construction Company selected Arctic Engineering to provide for all condensate water and heating piping configurations and HVAC equipment installation. The project consisted of the installation of (91) Heat Pump Units located throughout the 5-story, 74,000 sq ft unique, state-of-the-art facility; as well as (1) Energy Recovery Unit, a single make-up air unit, a cooling tower, and (3) boilers with associated pumps.
Arctic Engineering’s project manager coordinated all MEP for this project, working very diligently with the electrical and plumbing contractors to ensure proper communication and timely scheduling of tasks throughout the entire project.
One of the most difficult obstacles to overcome in this project was mechanical equipment placement, due in part to the space restraints created by the circular design of the building. Even with the on-site duct size changes and re-routing of the duct & piping, Arctic Engineering had the expertise to bring this project in under time and under budget.
